A bit of history
A former stopping point during the 1850s Fraser Gold Rush, Mayne Island now hosts a whole slew of family-friendly activities and events, including a Saturday Farmer’s Market at the Agricultural Hall Grounds, and the annual Fall Fair, which has been a beloved tradition since 1928.
Natural beauty
If you’re looking for a beautiful sport to spend the day or catch the sunset, consider checking out St. John Point Regional Park, which offers 26 hectares of waterfront forest and rocky beaches and bluffs to explore.
According to the park’s website, it’s a great spot to bird watch or take a stroll via “moderate” hiking trails” along rocky bluffs.
