A BC film studio will transform into a magical holiday town that feels straight out of a movie

Ready to step into a world of movie magic this holiday season? Martini Film Studios is gearing up for another year of “Martini Town” – a holiday town experience straight out of a Christmas movie.
The picture-perfect experience will be set in a holiday town akin to the ones you see in Hallmark movies. And since the 16-acre film backlot has been the site of 12 movies (a handful of which are Christmas-themed), they likely need no help in setting the holiday mood!
This is the only time of year that the film studio opens their Hollywood-style backlot to the public, so get ready to peruse a magical winter wonderland, decorated by BC’s talented film crews.
About the experience
This year, the holiday town will feature a covered “Town Square” with sweet treats and warm sips galore. This includes returning food trucks like Texas Smoke BBQ, Mini Donuts and Urban Wood Fired Pizza, along with a new addition — Tacosaurus.
Visitors will find sweet treats at the adjacent vintage Airstream trailer, which will house the Candy Curio.
We’re proud of what our industry creates, and it’s a pleasure to share a bit of that magic with our community,” says Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios. “We invite guests to step into the wonder of a Christmas movie.”
In terms of festive performances, visitors can expect daily shows by The Dimes and Victorian carolers, as well as an array of local musicians. Oh, and Santa himself will be visiting right up until December 22nd.
While the experience takes place outdoors (with “snow” released every 30 minutes!), there will be a Market Lane enclosed in a heated tent with a variety of artisans to check out.

New holiday lights and festive displays
In an email with Curiocity, a representative of Martini Town reveals that this year will feature expanded film sets, holiday decor, and market vendors – all of which are still to come. So stay tuned for more holiday magic!
