Martha Stewart was just on a major talk show and gave Toronto a shout out

Beloved television personality Martha Stewart has been promoting her new NBC show and took the chance to show some love to Toronto’s culinary scene.

Just a few days ago, Stewart, alongside Spanish-American restaurateur Chef José Andrés, stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to talk about their newest cooking competition show, YES CHEF!

The show, which premiered on April 28, follows Stewart and Chef Andrés as they guide 12 highly skilled chefs to reach their full potential. Back in February 2025, Stewart shared that they were filming the series in Toronto.

In the short interview clip, Clarkson suggested they must’ve tried some pretty good restaurants, considering they were filming in our beloved city.

“We had the best. Every night, he found the next best restaurant. We had the best dinners,” shares Stewart.

Andres teased Stewart’s eagerness to uncover a new restaurant every night while filming, despite his exhaustion after 12-hour days.

“I tried to go to every great restaurant in Toronto, and they have great restaurants,” she added.

Martha Stewart and Toronto’s restaurant scene

According to her Instagram post just a few months ago, she visited Café Boulud and the Quetzal, a Michelin Star Mexican restaurant.

She called the establishment “a superb Mexican restaurant which served impeccably presented and prepared dishes that were delicious!”

Looking for recommendations? Stewart mentioned enjoying the oysters, scallops, sweet potato, whole sea bream fish, blue corn tortillas, and the margaritas, of course.

But her restaurant tour didn’t end there. She was also spotted at Chinese restaurant Pearl Yorkville and the Japanese sushi omakase experience Sushi Masaki Saito.

Needless to say, Stewart loved her time in Toronto. Hopefully, this isn’t the last we see of her in the city.
