Like a Prayer: Madonna just added more tour dates in Canada due to demand

After announcing her 35-city global tour, Madonna is adding 13 new dates in North America due to overwhelming demand, two of which are in Canada.

It sounds like Canadians can’t get enough of the long-reigning queen of pop after she announced she’ll be going on tour this year. So much so that she added another consecutive night in Toronto and in Montreal.

The Celebration Tour actually kicks off in Vancouver this summer on July 15th and will of course be making stops in Toronto and Montreal. But the demand has been overwhelmingly high that the artist extended her stay.

According to her website, The Celebration Tour will take audience members through Madonna’s artistic journey, paying respect to the city of New York where her career in music first began.

“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” said Madonna in a statement.

Other added cities include second shows in Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, AND a third show in New York.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 20th at 10 AM local time.
