Attention, taco lovers! Kitsilano’s popular Mexican-style cantina Lucky Taco is getting a brand new location this month, and it’s situated in South Vancouver’s River District.
With over 1,000 square feet, 30 seats, and an al fresco patio that seats up to 25 people, the new location will have all your favourite Lucky Taco fixings and happy hour deals, all in a larger space.
“We first opened Lucky Taco in Kits because we were looking for this local watering hole-type place that was not only fun, bright, and high-energy, but also offered great eats and drinks,” says James Iranzad, Partner, Gooseneck Hospitality. “This is also what we hope to offer the River District community with the opening of our new Lucky Taco.”

Guests can expect the menu to be filled with delicious tacos, nachos, grilled street corn, and of course, Lucky’s famous margaritas.
In terms of taco fillings, diners can enjoy everything from Baja Pescado and Chicken Tinga to Crispy Cauliflower.
Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, Executive Chef Christian Chaumont delivers his passion for contemporary casual Mexican fare. And on the beverage front, there’s a comprehensive menu of tequilas and mezcals, local beers, and refreshing cocktails – some with Lucky Taco’s popular fishbowl upgrade.
Excited to check it out? The new River District location officially opens next weekend on Saturday, February 24th. The new location will be open from 4 pm to late from Monday to Thursday, and from 11:30 am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
