Mark your calendars, Vancouverites! A blockbuster Blocks Party is about to hit town, bringing with it a delightful fusion of music, tantalizing food trucks, and an abundance of fun-filled activities. Enter: The Strathcona Blocks Party!
Hosted by Low Tide Properties in collaboration with over 30 local businesses, the Blocks Party is a celebration of one of YVR’s oldest neighbourhoods. Spanning the 600-900 blocks of East Hastings, this multi-block extravaganza is set to rock the streets of East Vancouver on Saturday, June 17th.
The best part – it is free to attend!
Let’s start with the music! The Strathcona Blocks Party will feature an array of exhilarating experiences, with live music performances stationed at 840 East Hastings. There will also be a roving set by the talented East Van Horns band. Expect performers like Marlin Ramazzini Band, Francis Henson, Vancouver Fire Rescue Services Band and Scarlet Fever.
As it happens, 840 East Hastings is also the place to be if you’re looking for non-stop entertainment with family-friendly activities like giant Jenga and tic-tac-toe. Oh, and you can even score a limited-edition tote bag pressed on-site by Ink Pad, absolutely free (while supplies last).
And because no party is ever complete without scrumptious food and refreshing bevies, the Strathcona Blocks Party has you covered on that front too. In addition to delicious food truck fare, there will also be a buzzing beer garden at 895 East Hastings hosted by Strathcona Beer Company running until 7 PM.
There is also a vibrant pop-up market at 848 E Hastings. Discover a treasure trove of unique goods from emerging and established Vancouver brands and makers, including DUER, Poppy Barley, and WAIWAI.
Explore neighborhood gems like VV Tapas Lounge and The Garden. Or unleash your creative side at MakerLabs located at 780 East Cordova, where immersive tours, maker activities and an open studio await.

Making this celebration more meaningful, Low Tide Properties has partnered with Lord Strathcona Elementary School and Coastal Eden Cafe, to provide a free meal offering.
