Attention, local history buffs and lovers of all things spooky season. It might not be Halloween yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a spooky interactive tour in the meantime – and learn more about our city in the process.

Staged by local company Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours, the Lost Souls of Gastown Tour is recognized as one of Canada’s greatest experiences, taking participants back to Vancouver’s former “wild west” and its eerie past.

The historic “Granville Townsite” was a former frontier town, tainted by tales of a deadly fire, smallpox outbreaks, and a horrific murder – the latter of which remains unsolved to this day. Tour participants will be led by lamplight across Gastown’s cobblestone backstreets and alleyways to six spooky spots, including the historic Hotel Victorian and the storied Gaoler’s Mews.
