If you’re someone who often struggles between deciding to hit up a bar or hit the hay – we’ve got some great news for you. There will soon be a new speakeasy in town that speaks directly to the quintessential Vancouver question: To go out, or not to go out. Only in this case, you don’t have to choose.

Coming to East Vancouver this spring is a new late-night experience called ‘Lights Out’ – a slumber party-themed speakeasy where guests can trade their heels and going-out attire for their coziest sets of PJs.

Whether it’s a onesie or your favourite sweatpants and a T-shirt, guests are encouraged to arrive in the clothes they’d typically wear on a night in.

Finally – a place where Vancouver’s most hesitant party-goers can lean into the laid-back vibes, enjoy drinks with friends, and then wind down for bed. Think the ‘Bed’ nightclub from Sex and the City, but less glam outfit wise!

Adorned with cozy bean bag chairs, lounge chairs, and mismatched sofas – there are plenty of comfortable nooks to curl up in at Lights Out.

In fact, each table comes equipped with up to six small pillows – one for each person at the table to use should they need to lay their head down for a quick 5-10-minute nap in between drinks.

As for the menu, guests can expect a mix of nostalgic comfort bites like tater tots, housemade pizza pockets, and hot wings, as well as handcrafted charcuterie platters filled with cheese, fresh fruit, and cured meats.

So there you have it, Vancouver. Oh, and by the way – Happy April Fools’ Day!
