An enchanting lakeside village in BC will soon look like a Hallmark movie set

Planning a trip to Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia? You’re in luck, because the charming lakeside village is soon transforming for the holidays with thousands of twinkling Christmas lights by the lake – straight out of a Hallmark movie!
Visitors can soon take a leisurely stroll down an illuminated promenade, a cup of warm cocoa in hand, admiring the dozens of colours dancing on Harrison Lake’s waters.
Every year, Lights by the Lake transforms two kilometres of illuminated waterfront, allowing visitors to step into their very own winter wonderland.
In addition to Christmas lights, the village square will be adorned with charming winter window paintings, decorated storefronts, Christmas trees, and old-fashioned lamps.

Free cocoa and fireworks
On opening day this year, visitors can enjoy Christmas carols, free hot cocoa, fireworks, and an endearing pet parade.
The annual tradition is centred around the Sts’Ailes Nation’s longstanding tale of the elusive Sasquatch, which will take the form of a special appearance of the Sasquatch himself on opening day – Saturday, November 23rd.
Visitors can capture the experience with a photo, as well as snap a pic with Santa. Fireworks will commence at 5:30 p.m., according to Tourism Harrison.
At 5:30 pm sharp, all of the holiday lights and displays will light up at once, followed by a burst of colour in the skies as the fireworks commence.
Note that the promenade is fully paved and accessible. Holiday light displays will illuminate the night every night from Saturday, November 18th to Sunday, January 7th, from dusk to 11 p.m.
So there you have it, BC! A little holiday magic is on the way.
