A free dazzling light art show is coming to this Toronto museum

Toronto’s Aga Khan Museum is bringing light and some warmth to the coldest season this month. Light Up the Dark returns for a weekend of mesmerizing displays, transforming the night into a vibrant work of art.

From Dec. 27 to 29, 2025, the museum’s front façade will shine bright with stunning light projections by students and graduates from OCAD University’s Experimental Animation program.

These displays are inspired by objects from the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. It’s a great opportunity to take a step back, embrace the quiet magic of the winter season and witness the museum’s stories come alive against the night sky.
