Ontario has a stunning torch-lit skating trail to enjoy under the stars

One of the most picturesque winter activities in Ontario opens this month! Light the Night at Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery is a magical skating experience along an ice trail, under the stars.

During Light the Night, the winery’s 1.2 km ice skating loop through the cranberry fields is lit by hundreds of tiki torches – 400 to be exact.

You can glide your way along the ice trail as glowing fires illuminate your path.

And once you’ve had your fun on the ice, you can warm up with hot mulled wine or hot cran-apple cider.

Not only can you enjoy the trail at night but can embark on wonderful snowshoe and ice trails during the day.

However, its snowshoe trail is already open!

Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM with the trail closing at 4 PM.

For Light the Night, the ice trail reopens for torchlight skating from 6 PM to 9 PM.
