Calling all fans of Legally Blonde! A brand new series about the famed lawyer’s high school life will soon be in production but before they can even start, the hunt for the next Elle Woods is on. Auditions are being held for the next few weeks and here’s how to apply.
From the world of Legally Blonde comes Elle, a new production from the team at Prime Video. The new show will highlight the life of the a high school version of the character Reese Witherspoon played in the Legally Blonde.
They’re looking for someone 18+ to play a white, 16-year-old female. “A driven, natural-born leader who will always stop to straighten another woman’s crown. With Bel Air tastes and an allergy to social injustice, Elle’s magnetic personality brightens the world with confidence, vulnerability, and an earnestness that charms everyone around her,” shares the audition site.
“Coming of age in the 90s, Elle will encounter her first love and her first heartbreak, and she will find her moral convictions.”
Interested in the role? You’ll have to submit a video audition by October 25th, 2024.
Here are the requirements:
Make sure not to post the audition material or your audition videos online. No links from Vimeo, Facebook, YouTube or other similar platforms will be seen or accepted. Auditions will only be viewed via the website submission platform, according to the site.

Shooting for the new series will take place in Vancouver and has a tentative start date of April 2025 to July 2025.
