We can’t wait for the day that one of Toronto’s most beloved eateries, Lee Restaurant, plans to open. So while we wait in anticipation, here’s a new update on the restaurant and where it will relocate this spring 2023.

According to a new application via the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Lee on Richmond will open at 505 Richmond Street W Unit 119.

The countdown till it opens is on!

This past summer, we found out that Earls Restaurant Group was taking over Lee by Susur Lee’s space on King Street, leaving us to wonder what would happen to the iconic restaurant.

Though it had planned to continue operating at the current King Street location for the rest of 2022, it had shared it would be reopening at a new location in March 2023.

“The new location will be located around the corner and all the favourites will live on (including the slaw, the cheeseburger spring rolls, and our chefs banquet menu),” said the restaurant’s team, at the time.

But in an exciting turn of events, Lee Restaurant shared that it will still operate out of 601 King Street W until March 11th, 2023 before they relocate.

In the same breath, the restaurant shared the address of where they’ll be located come spring 2023.

Posted just a few weeks ago, the Instagram image read “61 more days! Relocating to 505 Richmond.” At least now we know for sure, where.

We’re pretty excited to see the new space once it comes to flourish.
