Are you looking to make unforgettable memories in the new year? Why not start out with the stunning annual Leavenworth Winter Karneval? Picture a real life snowglobe with snow covered mountains, and the enchanting Bavarian village brimming with half a million lights.
The Leavenworth Winter Karneval honours ‘Fasching’ – a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century. This year, it will take place on weekends throughout January.

You can enjoy a wide variety of activities at the Karveneval with main attractions like ice carving and a fireworks display over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
There will entertainment spread throughout the month making it a great winter destination to check out more than once.
Other than exploring the town and enjoying Karneval activities, you can enjoy the snow with back country, nordic and downhill skiing, sledding and tubing and even an Alps inspired stay at the Post Hotel.
