The City of Surrey’s Canada Day aims to change the narrative and raise awareness of Indigenous culture, history, and more during its livestream. Virtual Surrey Canada Day is honoured to support local Indigenous and cultural groups in both programming and planning of the event and has lots in store for its show. With music, dance, and entertainment, let’s check out what the Virtual Surrey Canada Day has in store for us in 2021!

The virtual event will include a land acknowledgment from Kwantlen First Nation, as well as Indigenous cultural sharing from Semiahmoo First Nation, and Kwantlen First Nation. Plus, you’ll be treated to Indigenous cultural sharing including storytelling, Métis jigging, and Indigenous education from TikTok star Notorious Cree.

Presented by KPU, Virtual Surrey Canada Day will include two distinct showtimes. The first, ‘The Family Show’, will run from 10:30 AM to 12 PM and include things for people of all ages to enjoy. The evening show will take place from 6 PM – 9 PM, and will wrap the night with a firework finale.
