Looking for a calm body of water to relax by this summer? Lake Whittaker Conservation Area is a two-hour drive from Toronto boasting a 26-acre spring-fed lake for swimming, canoeing and more.

According to the conservation area, “experience scenic hiking trails, a beach area for swimming, camping and much more,” while visiting.

The spring-fed lake is spacious and makes for a great place to spend a day but if pools are more you’re speed then you’re in luck!

The area has a swimming pool for guests to use and opens for the season on Canada Day Long Weekend.

Lake Whittaker also features fun facilities like a disc golf course and canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals.

Overnight camping is available with reservations rates starting at $18. Full rates for camping can be found here, while day passes start at $10 per vehicle.

Don’t forget to get your steps in! The space has a 6.1-kilometre hiking trail that loops around the lake providing spectacular views while you walk.

“All of KCCA’s hiking trails are classified as natural surface recreational trails suitable for most users who have some basic trail experience,” says Lake Whittaker.
