Washington is truly the outdoor person’s playground. There are so many beautiful places to visit year-round and fall is a great time to get out there. Lake Wenatchee’s State Park is a stunning fall destination with hiking, water and so much to explore.
The park is located on the 5-mile-long, glacier-fed Lake Wenatchee and Wenatchee River. It’s located near Washington’s favorite Bavarian-themed town, Leavenworth.

Some of the activities at the park include beach exploration, winter camping, biking, bird watching, and boating.
In the fall, you can enjoy the foliage and waterfront views.
During winter, you can enjoy groomed cross-country and skate ski trails, a sled hill, and snowshoe trails.
The park states that as it is a natural wildlife area, “visitors should be aware of the presence of bears and other natural dangers.”
