From coast to coast, Canada has some of the best ski resorts in the world – but who takes the country’s top spot? This week, the folks at the World Ski Awards announced their picks for the country’s most impressive hill and as it turns out, an Alberta favourite came out on top.
In the running against renowned destinations like Whistler, Fernie, and Revelstoke, it was the Lake Louise Ski Resort that impressed judges the most.
Revered for its stunning location, impressive staff, and unparalleled amenities, this winter haven was a cut above the rest.

In addition, the WSA also released their 2021 winners for best ski hotel, chalet, and boutique hotel, which saw all of its recipients from B.C. – so it’s safe to say that the West is where it’s at!

Be proud, Alberta. While we may not have one the best on the globe (it’s hard to compete with the Swiss Alps), we did snag number one in the land of beavers and bears, and that’s a major deal!
