Wine down at this Lake Country estate for sale in BC

Spring’s just around the corner, and we might be jumping the gun here, but we’re already thinking of how we’re going to spend the summer. So, finding a nice little estate for sale in BC’s Lake Country, complete with its own vineyard, is right up our alley this week. Let’s check it out!

Located on the eastern side of Wood Lake, and a stone’s throw from both Lake Kalamalka and Kelowna, the property is a great mix of down home country living and access to city amenities. Sure, you can swing into town to go grocery shopping, but why not plant a few fruit trees and raise your own chickens for fresh eggs?

The main residence here is a two-level, walkout house with a rancher-style layout. What’s more, the house’s 4,000 square feet can easily be divided into two separate living spaces, thanks in large part to the 6 bedrooms and a full kitchen on the lower level.

Of course, one of the big draws is the vineyard. Utilizing almost 5 acres of high-density hills, the property has already been growing grapes for some time now. The listing specifies that it is an organic vineyard, and a little extra digging reveals that the current owners specialize in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gamay Noir varieties. Right up our alley for some light summer drinks, to be completely honest.

In addition to the main home and the land it sits on, the property also comes with a ‘farm building’ that has enough space for RV, boat and machinery storage. The photos also show that the current owners have wine processing equipment at the ready, although, that might cost you a little extra.

But hey, we’re sure it’s not that much to tack on, especially when the list price is a cool $3,288,800. But hey, considering the going rate of properties in Vancouver, we think this is a pretty solid deal. To check it out for yourself, just click here.
