B.C.’s largest farmers market has over 200 local vendors and it’s 20 minutes from Vancouver

Situated 20 minutes away from Vancouver, Ladner is a true hidden gem, known as Delta’s historic fishing and farming village. The Ladner Village Market is the culmination of all that local history, charm, and sense of community, and the market’s 30th season just kicked off this past weekend.

The market brings together over 200 local vendors each day, from eateries and makers of gourmet bites to home and garden vendors — their motto: “make it, bake it, grow it.”

A local tradition since 1996, the market has grown to become the largest farmers market in B.C., and one of the largest open-air markets in western Canada.

Visitors can peruse farm-fresh produce and meats, artisanal treats, fresh flowers, craft brews, and an array of handcrafted products in a festive atmosphere, as well as enjoy live music and entertainment.

Other products you can expect to find include handcrafted jewelry, art, and unique, multi-functional creations of all kinds, according to the market’s website.

It’s one of the area’s most beloved summertime experiences, attracting visitors from across the Lower Mainland and beyond to the heart of the village.

When is the next Ladner Village Market in 2026?

The market spans three blocks on 48th Avenue, from Delta Street to Elliott Street, taking place on the second and fourth Sundays in June, July, and August, and the third Sunday of September.

So, get ready to mark your calendars for Sunday, June 21, the next market of 2026! Note that the market runs rain or shine, so don’t forget to bring your spring layers until sunnier days are back in the rotation.

The final market for the season will fall on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Another thing to note before you visit: pets are not permitted.

If you haven’t already checked it out for yourself, it’s well worth making the Ladner Village Market a Sunday tradition this summer!
