Krispy Kreme has officially announced it will open its very first location in Edmonton next month. Get ready, Alberta – you’re going to love these!
The doughnut chain known for its signature Original Glazed doughnuts is making its way westbound, opening its Edmonton location within weeks.
When will Krispy Kreme open in Edmonton?
The date is set! Edmonton, you’ll soon be able to bite into a Krispy Kreme creation starting Dec. 10, 2024.
“We’ve heard from our Edmonton fans and are excited to finally bring our iconic hot doughnuts to the city,” said Levi Hetrick, Chief Growth Officer for the brand.
“We can’t wait to share this experience with our new neighbours and friends in Edmonton and beyond.”

Where will this Krispy Kreme be located?
The new location is found at 4614 Gateway Blvd. Northwest.
According to the chain, the new Hot Light Theatre Shop spans 4,600 square-feet and offers a first-hand look at the doughnut-making process up close thanks to its “Doughnut Theatre”.
Guests can enjoy these mesmerizing treats as they come straight off the line.
Will there be any surprises during the Krispy Kreme grand opening?
To make this news even sweeter, those who are there on opening day will receive a free Original Glazed doughnut.
The brand will also give away 12 Golden Tickets to lucky guests that are each redeemable for a free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for an entire year. Now that’s a sweet treat!
But it doesn’t end there. If you happen to be the first person in line, you will get the chance to turn on the Hot Light for the first time at the new location.
And you will also win a Golden Ticket to enjoy hot doughnuts all year long.

Is this Krispy Kreme location hiring?
If you’re looking for a job, you’re in luck. The store is also looking for eager individuals to be part of the Edmonton squad.
There will be a Job Fair at the Travelodge, 10320 45th Avenue NW, just beside the Krispy Kreme shop, on Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Make sure to bring a copy of your resume and contact information for two references. Be sure you come prepared as interviews will be done on site.
