If you’re looking to eat something new this week you’re in luck because a brand new Japanese restaurant opened its doors this month. Kobuta & Ookami is a Japanese katsu and sake house on Capitol Hill. It’s pretty much the perfect fall spot.

The new restaurant’s menu revolves around katsu-style dishes made with both meat and veggies. You can score various pork cuts, chicken, prawn, and even multiple styles like classic katsu, miso katsu, and katsu nabe which is a Japanese-Korean fusion dish served in a clay pot.

One of the more unique menu options is the tomato and cheese dishes. They come with tomato miso sauce, grated Parmesan, rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, and pickles. But if you want to keep it to what you’re comfortable with, you can go wrong with a classic katsu don or katsu curry.

Now as the name suggests, the restaurant also has tons of sake for you to choose from. Between the tons of options and a wide menu, Kobuta & Ookami is definitely worth adding to your fall eats list. If you’d like to learn more you can click below. Enjoy folks!
