The Kinsol Trestle is a historic landmark of the Cowichan Valley Trail as the largest of eight trestles along the route. And – it just so happens to be one of the tallest free-standing timber rail trestles in the world, according to the CVRD.

Spanning 187 metres across the scenic Koksilah River and 44 metres tall, the trestle is truly a remarkable structure, accessible to cyclists, hikers, and equestrians alike.

In addition to viewing platforms, visitors will find public benches, picnic areas, toilet facilities, and various other hiking trails throughout the park.

Note that the park is open from dawn to dusk daily.
