What is Katsuya?
Katsuya currently has locations in Dubai, Miami, Los California, New York, and The Bahamas.
Chef Uechi, Katsuya’s Head Chef, “skillfully translates Japanese flavours for the American palate. The superb talent and exacting precision of Katsuya has changed the face of Japanese cuisine.”
Where will it be located?
Torontonians can indulge in the delicious food and take in the dining experience Katsuya has to offer inside a new $800 million skyscraper/hotel coming to the city.
The 5-star hotel has no set date for when it will be opening, but the restaurant is expected to launch in Fall 2028.
“We are so thrilled to be bringing the iconic Katsuya brand to Canada for the first time with Peter Freed and his best-in-class team at Freed Developments,” said Sam Nazarian, Founder and CEO, sbe.
“Katsuya is going to be a destination for locals, hotel guests and residents alike, and we cannot wait to share Chef Katsuya’s contemporary Japanese culinary experience with the discerning people of Toronto.”
What to expect
If you’re wondering what Katsuya has on the menu, you can check out what some of the other locations are serving up.
Salmon Caviar, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Miso Cod Bites, Wagyu Gyoza, Classic Sushi Rolls and Tomahawk Short Ribs are just a few on the menu items that could make an appearance on the menu in Toronto.
This sounds like a must-try! We’ll be marking Fall 2028 on our calendars.
