K-Yay: K-Days set to return to Edmonton this summer

Talk about a kool thing to look forward to! After a two-year hiatus, K-Days is coming back to Edmonton this July, and we have a feeling it’s going to be better than ever. Don’t believe us? Keep reading and we’ll present our case!

Of course, K-Days is Edmonton’s premiere summer festival and carnival, offering delicious treats, midway rides, concerts, live entertainment and more. The festival was, unfortunately, cancelled in both 2020 and 2021, so this summer is going to be one heckuva welcome back party.

Especially because of today’s news! The federal government has announced some $10M in funding for K-Days, which is now ran by Explore Edmonton. The funding is going to help everything from improvements at Klondike Park, to year-round attractions, to expanded programming with a focus on marginalized communities. Basically, everything we want to see get expanded in the iconic festival.

Planning is still in the early stages, but this year’s K-Days are set to take place between July 22nd and 31st. We’ll make sure to keep you updated as more info comes out! In the meanwhile, pencil the entire fest into your calendars… We know we’re going to!
