We’ve got good news for the music lovers out there! Starting this weekend, the Edmonton International Jazz Fest returns to the city, and it’s bringing a ton of options with it. Most importantly, maybe, is the inclusion of some free concerts to check out! Here’s what to know.
The festival will kick off on Sunday, June 26th, and will for a full week until July 3rd. During that time, you’ll be able to check out a wide range of concerts at many different venues. We’re talking everything from local favourites (The Starlite Room and Yardbird Suite) to the best in the city (The Winspear Centre).

But, about those free concerts… to kick things off, the ICE District Plaza will be hosting 4 free concerts from Sunday until the following Thursday. These concerts alternate between mid-day opportunities and after-work options, so head down for a nice lunch and some live music, or make the most of the evening! And on the flipside, Bellamy’s Lounge at Chateau Lacombe will also be hosting night after night of free and by-donation options too!
Of course, those looking to make the most of the festival should definitely check out the full lineup, and pick and choose whatever sounds best to them! Whatever you pick during Jazz Fest in Edmonton, we guarantee you won’t regret it.
