Vancouver is getting a Japanese-style Christmas market with over 90 vendors
Vancouver’s Japan Market Christmas Fair brings some of the best Japanese food, art, live performances, and traditions together for a holiday event like no other. With over 90 local vendors to peruse at this year’s market, shopping for gifts for everyone in your life just got that much easier.
One of Vancouver’s largest markets for locally made goodies, the market will spotlight unique and hard-to-find Japanese-style gifts, in addition to tasty treats, crafts, apparel, jewellery, kitchenware, and much more.
Cultural entertainment will include live Taiko drumming, lion dances, Japanese calligraphy, and traditional Samurai performances and photo-ops, which have quickly become a market favourite.

The fair will take place at UBC Robson Square at the Plaza level from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
And if you can’t make those dates, there will be another chance to shop the market at the Mini Pop Up Market from Dec. 12 to 14, 2025, at the City Square Mall. This three-day pop-up will have a focus on Japanese pop culture.
How much are tickets to the Christmas fair?
Early bird tickets to the Christmas fair are available online and are priced at $4 per person or $7 for two, which goes up to $5 and $9, respectively, starting Nov. 29, 2025 (cash only).
Note that the first 50 people to enter the market on both days will receive a $10 Japan Market dollar voucher to spend inside.
