A huge celebration of Japanese culture will be held in Mississauga this summer, considered “the largest Japanese cultural event in North America.” If you’re ready to enjoy live performances, delicious food and Japanese culture then Japan Festival Canada is for you.

According to Japan Festival Canada, “The concept of Japan Festival Canada is to contribute in further success of establishing Canada and Japan Diplomatic Relations.”

The festival has been running since 2016 and since has been hosted annually in the summer.

The 2024 rendition will take place on August 17th and 18th at Mississauga Celebration Square. 

While the vendors for this year have yet to be confirmed, guests are still able to check out a list of last year’s to get an idea of what they can expect.

Some of the food vendors from last year include Uncle Tetsu, Guu Izakaya, Ryus Noodle Bar, Kinka Izakaya, Gu Shi, Kinton Ramen, Neo Coffee Bar, Yosh, Cheese Garden and Happy Twist.

There will also be shopping vendors to enjoy and cultural stages featuring various Japanese demonstrations such as origami, cultural dances, Shishimai and more.

Information on ticketing will be released in the coming months but we’re already excited!

This massive festival will be here before we know it so get excited!
