Sweet dreams are made of this: It’Sugar to open first Canadian location in Alberta

Did you also grow up painfully envious of the kids in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory? Well, as long as you live in or are visiting Alberta, you can live your Willy Wonka fantasy when giant US candy chain It’Sugar opens its first and only Canadian location in West Edmonton Mall.

Known for its over-the-top displays, exclusive flavours and novelty offerings, this beloved retailer was founded in 2006 and has since grown to 100 stores across 26 states – making it one of the largest specialty candy retailers in the entire world.

The Edmonton location will be the first north of the border and is expected to be over 5,000 square feet, will feature a maple tree lollipop garden and a gummy bear moose statue, according to the Edmonton Journal.

Similar to its sister stores, shoppers can also expect a ton of popular brands such as Sour Patch Kids, Oreo, Nerds and Funkopop just to name a few.

Want to check it out for yourself?

It’Sugar is set to open its doors to the public on August 11th – so get ready, Alberta!

There really is nothing sweeter!
