We love some expansion news – especially if it’s something new coming to Canada. Popular U.S-based cookie chain, Insomnia Cookies is expanding outside of the U.S. and will open locations in Canada later this year.

You read that right! The cookie brand known for serving warm and chewy cookies into the late hours of the night is finally stepping foot outside the U.S for the first time ever.

Though we don’t know exactly where the brand plans to open its first set of stores, we do know it is somewhere in the GTA.

“From a college start-up, we’ve come a long way over the last 20 years, and this year’s national and international new stores openings are just a taste of what’s to come for Insomnia Cookies,” said Seth Berkowitz, Founder and CEO of Insomnia Cookies.

“Insomnia is so grateful to our loyal Insomniacs, whose passion for our brand has fueled our growth. We’re thrilled to soon be delivering our warm, delicious cookies and desserts across the globe and welcome even more fans into our cult-like community.”

We’ll finally understand the hype Insomnia Cookies has garnered throughout the years. If you’re new to the brand, the cookie chain offers signature classic, deluxe, vegan, and limited-edition cookie flavors, among other products.

They also plan to open more stores in the U.S. and will also expand to the U.K. for the first time, too.

If you’re interested in employment opportunities, Insomnia’s new locations will soon hire managers, part-time cookie crew, delivery drivers, and shift leaders.

Make sure to check back regularly to see what positions are available.

In the meantime, we’ll wait eagerly for its Canadian debut which is expected to be sometime this summer.
