One of the most popular horror movie series is coming to Toronto. The “Insidious” films have been scaring the pants off audiences since the first movie came out in 2010. Toronto will act as a backdrop for the sixth installment, with filming kicking off in our city on November 25th.

Here’s what we know so far.

Insidious: The Bleeding World

According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance, the sixth film in the franchise will be called “Insidious: The Bleeding World”.

Deadline confirmed that the movie was a go back in May 2024, stating that the next installment of the Blumhouse Productions horror series will be released in theatres on August 29th, 2025.

The film comes after “Insidious: The Red Door” which, according to Deadline, grossed over $189 million at the worldwide box office.

Filming in Toronto

If you’re a horror movie fan, you’re going to want to keep your eyes peeled around Toronto from November 25th, 2024 to January 24th, 2025.

The Film & Television Industry Alliance recently released the filming dates and while there’s no word on where exactly production will take place, Torontonians have a pretty watchful eye so we’re sure there will be some photos floating around soon.

There’s also no confirmation of the new movie’s cast, but it seems likely that we will be seeing the Lambert family on our screen again, namely the star and director of the last film, Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert.
