No, that’s not a claim that we just made up, The Acorn has actually been named the best vegan restaurant in the world, beating out places in LA, London, New York… you get the idea. Even in a city as competitive as Vancouver, The Acorn stands out time and time again as the crown jewel of plant-based eating.

First, you’ve got the space. Tucked away on Main street, the unassuming dining room features dark wood walls and diner style seating. Personally, we love it.

Then, you’ve got an incredible menu. Geared towards the best seasonal ingredients, you can find yourself trying something new every few months. Although, there are a couple of staples that we love (like the beer-battered halloumi).

We suggest that you do the classic starter, main, dessert approach here. Frankly, it’s too delicious to not try out each course. If you don’t you’ll get home and wonder why you passed up the opportunity, like a fool.

Yeah, you might be full, but how can you resist a vegan almond fudge brownie with walnut caramel and buckthorn berries? It’s impossible.
