Ice skating is a fall and winter favorite and is also a great way to get in the holiday spirit. Seattleites have a few options to choose from when it comes to the pastime depending on if you’re looking for lessons, hockey or public skate. Here are four of the best spots to go ice skating in and around Seattle.
Perhaps the most buzz-worthy spot to ice skate, the Kraken Community Iceplex is the city’s newest spot to hit the ice. It’s conveniently located at Northgate Mall and you can enjoy both public skating and hockey lessons if you feel so inclined. They even have different hockey leagues if you get really into it.

Lynwood Ice Arena has been providing “ice skating lessons, public sessions and hockey leagues for over three decades.” They’re a highly experienced arena with everything from beginner to advanced lessons available. They also offer public skating hours Tuesday-Sunday.

According to the ice rink, The Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink “is the region’s largest seasonal ice skating experience, with more than 9,000 square feet of real ice.” So if you’re looking to enjoy public skate with your friends or SO, this is a great option.
