When it comes to writing a new chapter, opportunity is the word – and those looking to get their foot in the door are in some luck! As announced in a press release this week, International Tech Company IBM is opening a Client Innovation Centre in Calgary and they’re looking to fill 250 jobs in the very near future.

From developers to analysts, consultants and project managers – the possibilities are practically endless.

Said to “invigorate the city’s technology sector,” this up-and-coming tech hub will mainly focus on sustainability and delivering consulting services and technology like 5G and artificial intelligence to companies looking to diversify.

The goal is to help these organizations accelerate and fulfil their environmental and social obligations while also creating a lasting impact on various communities across Western Canada – which sounds pretty rewarding, no?

“IBM’s choice to locate its new Client Innovation Centre for Western Canada in Calgary is truly something to celebrate,” said Premier of Alberta, Jason Kenney.

“This investment shows once more that Alberta has the economic momentum to continue to move Albertans forward. We have worked closely with IBM over the past year to make this investment possible, and are thrilled to see this happen, adding even more momentum to Alberta’s rapidly growing tech sector.”
