There’s a romantic hot air balloon ride in BC surrounded by fall colours

With the season of colourful fall foliage upon us, it’s time to take our appreciation of British Columbia’s natural scenery to new heights. If you aren’t afraid of high places, a trip to the skies with Okanagan Ballooning is a must this upcoming season. So get ready for a bucket-list-worthy hot air balloon ride!

Considered one of the best of its kind in North America, Okanagan Ballooning takes passengers over stunning lakes, vineyards, and country farms, with plenty of unparalleled photo-ops on the journey.

The good news? Flights are year-round, so you’re able to enjoy the beauty of Kelowna from the skies no matter the season.

The family-owned and operated hot air balloon service has been flying out of the Okanagan Valley for two decades, operating a six-passenger balloon nicknamed Aurora.

Pilot John Klempner has been a keen “ballooner” (a term we just coined) since 1994, acquiring his Transport Canada Pilot’s License in 1997.
