North Pole Express

Always wanted to ride on the train from The Polar Express as a child? The Railway Museum of BC is bringing back its popular North Pole Express just in time for the holiday season, and you won’t want to miss it.

The family-friendly holiday event takes passengers on an entertaining journey from the museum’s Polar Express Station to its very own ‘North Pole.’

When: November 25th and 26th, December 2nd and 3rd, 9th and 10th, and 16th and 17th

Kettle Valley Christmas Express 

The Kettle Valley Steam Railway in Summerland is bringing back its enchanting holiday train ride experience just in time for the season. Passengers will climb aboard a decorated 3716 locomotive and enjoy festive music, a cozy beverage, and experience the magic alongside Santa himself.

When: December 8th to 23rd

Finally, we come to the CPKC Holiday Train, which may not technically qualify as a “ride,” but does bring all the holiday magic, bright lights, and festive music you’ll need to be transported to a winter wonderland.

Running from November 20th to December 19th, the CPKC Holiday Train travels through Canada and the U.S., bringing free concerts performed from the festive train stage by professional musicians like Seaforth and Kiesza.
