This small Alberta town is hosting a magical hot air balloon festival

Temperatures may drop, but you should keep your excitement level up, up, and away because the High River Heritage Inn Balloon Festival will return this fall.

Set to take place between September 25th and the 29th, this enchanting affair is highly anticipated and will take sweater season to new heights—quite literally!

In addition to workshops and competitions, the annual Inn will also offer visitors an opportunity to climb aboard with a skilled pilot for the ride of a lifetime.

From direction and speed to grace and gusto, attendees will be given the opportunity to learn about hot air balloon mechanics from a wicker basket though it’s not mandatory.

If you’re afraid of heights you can also stay on the ground but don’t leave after the sun goes down!

This year, the real party won’t begin until after dark!

With a DJ, dancers, food trucks, flare, and fire, don’t miss Balloon Glow, an after-dark experience in which balloons are inflated and lit up for the crowd.

It’s magical, bright, and wildly unique, so check it out!

You won’t want to miss it, plus it’s totally FREE to attend.

Enjoy and maybe we’ll see you there!
