University of British Columbia has free courses you can take this fall

Taking a class or two at the University of British Columbia is a great way to dive into a subject you’re passionate about or pick up a couple of new skills. And the university has tons of free courses to offer this fall!

Ranked in the top 40 of the world’s best institutions for 2025 earlier this year, UBC is renowned for its academic reputation. So while a lot of valuable learning takes place outside of the classroom, it’s inside the classroom where you’re given the full opportunity to try new things, fail, and try again.

So you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking a free course or two this upcoming season!

Thanks to a partnership with edX, many of its free courses are self-paced, so you can work through the course material at your own speed.
