Herschel just opened a colourful new flagship store in Vancouver(PHOTOS)

We’ll go out on a limb and say that if you haven’t owned at least one Herschel bag in your life, then you’ve never needed a backpack. The Vancouver-based company has become a global force for bags, accessories and even clothing since its inception in 2009. And now, we’ve got a new Herschel flagship store in Vancouver to check out!

Setting up shop on Robson Street, one of the city’s most well-known shopping destinations, the new Herschel store is par for the course for the brand. Designed by the Herschel Supply Design Studio, the space features vibrant colours, custom furnishings, and even some creative touches to really make your visit more enjoyable.

Those include a variety of found objects and vintage pieces, all the way to custom artwork and cultural reference points. A Herschel BearBrick beside a brand new ‘Herschel Supply Book Fair’ that includes everything from Eames to Annie Leibovitz? Yeah, you can colour us impressed.

That’s not all, though! In celebration of their grand opening (which kicks off today) the new Herschel store in Vancouver is hosting local DJs, giving away complimentary drinks, and even offering limited-edition tote bags to the first 300 people who make a purchase in the store.

Uh-oh, looks like we need to come up with an excuse to go buy something there now! What’s one more duffel for the collection, after all.
