Vancouver has been no stranger to Calgary exports, from brunch spots to beer halls to arcade bars. So, finding out that one of the best breweries in Vancouver, 33 Acres, was coming to Calgary was music to our ears! The news comes as the company expands in the Alberta market, so naturally, having a brick-and-mortar spot was the perfect move.

According to a press release, 33 Acres only felt it was right to stay true to its emphasis on local community with a Calgary expansion. The brewery, which is known for its delicious beers, stunning interior, and creative names, will be working with other local Calgary businesses, supporting local charities, and of course, brewing up their range of beers right here!

And while the company is keeping quiet on the details, we couldn’t help but do a little sleuthing of our own. After all, we’re nothing if not curious here at Curiocity (sorry). To that end, we found out that 33 Acres will be setting up shop in the new community hub ‘The District at Beltline‘ located on 11th Ave! That puts them just a stone’s throw away from some of the best restaurants and bars in the city, local parks, and other amenities. And with a food hall right next door, this is going to be the perfect spot to kick back with a beer one sunny afternoon.

Which, since the plan is to open this spring, should be coming sooner rather than later! Don’t worry folks- we’ll keep you in the loop about this amazing new addition to our city’s already amazing brewery scene. Frankly, we can’t wait ourselves!
