STEVESTON STORIES & COMMUNITY TREASURES

This is a trip down memory lane, only it’s the memory lane of locals who continue to contribute to the legacy of this iconic fishing community. Visit and learn about the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site to get an understanding of its historic glory. And then take a behind-the-scenes tour of how treasures and artifacts make it into the rich collection. It’s a pretty impressive tour.

VOYAGE OF THE GIKUMI: EXPLORING THE FRASER RIVER ESTUARY

If you’ve ever wanted to say bon voyage and actually mean it, now would be a good time. Because this 3-hour voyage will take you through a journey of discovery. You’ll get a glimpse of how important the Fraser River is to everyday life here. And you’ll do this by way of engaging stories, lore, and legends. Plus, you get to enjoy the beautiful water views.

When: August 5, 6, 7, 19, 22 and 23

WILDLIFE SPECTACULAR

This is officially a whale-watching tour but think of this as an Ocean Safari. Of course, you’re going to catch glimpses of majestic humpback whales. But you’ll also see cute and magnificent Orcas and animated Sea Lions swimming around. You might even catch sight of a Bald Eagle and other fascinating birds. The tour takes you through the stunning Gulf and San Juan Islands.
