Well folks, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival is set to return next week! For the second year in a row, the organizers have opted for a virtual version of the festival. However, they’ve still got a ton of stuff up their sleeves, and we can’t wait to enjoy it. Here’s a little more info!
Folk Music Fest will run from July 16th to July 25th. During that time, the festival will release free concerts from some of BC’s best musicians across a variety of genres. We’re talking everything from classic blues to a Coast Salish performance group. These concerts have been filmed at music venues around Vancouver, which adds to the at-home feel the fest is known for.

In addition to the concerts, the festival is also releasing t-shirts, colouring books (sweet) and will be doing a 50/50 raffle as a little fundraiser. Folk Music Fest is without a doubt one of the highlights of the summer in Vancouver, so we think any support is great!
And, with any luck, this will be one of the last virtual music fests. Think of it as a send-off party to a very weird year, that’s our approach!
