Throw on a pair of party pants, it’s time to celebrate! As so many of you already know, Tuesday, February 1st is the Lunar New Year in Calgary and around the world with the tiger as this 2022’s commemorative animal. Sadly, while any other year would be recognized on a scale of epic proportions, this time around will be far less public than those passed. Due to COVID, much of the community has chosen to cancel its larger events – BUT that doesn’t mean that the city will completely do without.

Like so many holidays, this one will be reimagined, with smaller celebrations sprinkled across restaurants and social media platforms for the public to enjoy.

Here are just a few happening in YYC and online throughout the week.

These lights will be visible outside of the lively facility until 8 pm, weather depending tomorrow, Tuesday the 1st.
