Planning on buying or selling a home in 2021? Listen up folks, because Royal LePage has just announced what they predict the housing market will look like in Edmonton come next year! How exciting.
According to a release, those who are purchasing a new crib should expect the average two-storey detached home to cost around $430,700, a 1.5% increase from last year.

Those looking for something more humble though, like a condo or an apartment will be looking at a 1.0% rise. This means you may only have to pay around $215,100 for some new digs which is pretty good news – unless you’re on the other side of the counter trying to make a major profit.
“While spring is expected to bring new inventory to the market, we are also anticipating a healthy level of demand from buyers, resulting in a balanced market,” They said.
In conclusion, they aren’t expecting any major shifts, money moves or any devastating blows to neither buyer or seller this year and that’s just probably a good thing.
After 2020, it’ll be a while until we need or want another shake-up in any industry. Thanks, Royal LePage for your ‘meh’ forecast. We genuinely appreciate it.
