Spring is just around the corner, folks! And with it comes one of Vancouver’s most beautiful features- thousands of cherry blossom trees blooming at the same time. And what better way to explore than with the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Fest? Here’s what’s going down this year.

The festival is divided into at-home and outdoor options, to accommodate public health restrictions. So, while you can’t head down to a market like in previous years, you’ve still got options. Stroll around with a ‘soundwalk dance’ to accompany you. Or, add your picture to a ‘virtual mosaic’ being created this year.

The long-running haiku contest will return this year, and there are also videos and shortfilms in the lineup as well. But, we do have to say that for us, the cherry blossoms are all about seeing the trees themselves. So, we might have to skip those.

And, with trees starting to bloom in early March, you shouldn’t wait either! Treat this year’s fest as a fun bonus while you’re walking around, that’s our approach.
