Here are the most popular pet names in Toronto for 2020

Pet names, like fashion trends and fad diets, go in and out of style – and man is it hard to settle on one that’s just right. Not only a pet’s name have to say something about your new furry friend, but it’ll also reflect you, your interests and the times. Knowing this, Rover.Com has actually compiled a list of this year’s most popular pet names in Toronto and their findings may or may not rattle you!

In 2020, with TV, comfort food, and liquor consumption at an all-time high for a lot of us, it came as no surprise that names like Moira and Alexis (inspired by the Canadian hit Schitt’s Creek), as well as Oreo and Brandy, skyrocketed to commonality in both cats and dog country-wide.

However, these quarantine-inspired monikers were still no match for the more traditional names that made up the top 10.
