Everyone thinks their dog, is the BEST dog. Designer breeds, small in size, big, floppy ears, or long snouts, we all have a preference, but how different is yours from everyone else’s? Thanks to a survey done by Rover.com, we actually have the answer! Here are the 20 most popular dog breeds in Canada for 2020.

According to the study, which included 35,000 people, Mixed canines or ‘mutts’ are first among Canadians. Hopefully, this means most of you are adopting from shelters and not breeders!

Secondly, Labrador retrievers, followed by golden retrievers, then Shih Tzu’s and German Shepards to round out the top 5.

You may or may not be surprised to find the stereotypically yappy pomeranian at the bottom, followed only by #20 on their list, the cockapoo.
