The Christmas tree rush is right around the corner here in Seattle. Now that Thanksgiving is just a week away it’s time to start planning where to grab your tree this year. From Charlie Brown trees to massive trees, these spots have you covered. Here’s where to get a Christmas tree in & around Seattle.

Swanson’s Nursery

Swanson’s is a beloved Seattle nursery. If you’re looking to have a whole experience while purchasing your tree then you need to check them out. Expect Christmas trees, a holiday train, tree-shaking services, a gift shop, and much more.

Hours: Daily 9 AM-6 PM

Seattle Christmas Tree

This Christmas tree lot pops up every year in Fremont. You can choose from an assortment of trees ranging in height. Additionally, you can pick up tree stands and other necessary accessories to ensure your tree is nice and happy. Oh, and they offer free local delivery as well.

Hours: Monday-Friday 10 AM-8 PM, Saturday & Sunday8 AM-8 PM

Buttonwood Farm

If you’re looking to have a pick tree experience then you might as well head out to Buttonwood Farm. This farm is located in Redmond and sells a beautiful assortment of organic Christmas trees. Keep in mind that they are only open by appointment so be sure to book yours ahead of time.

City People’s Garden Store


City People’s outdoor nursery becomes a beautiful Christmas Tree Lot this time of year. You’ll be able to choose from an assortment of Washington-grown trees and browse the nursery’s other plant offerings as well. You can also pick up smaller gift items as well.

Here’s another great place where you can enjoy u-cut Christmas trees. McMurtrey Farm also runs on a reservation-only basis this year. But it’s well worth making a reservation because you can choose from a whole host of different kinds of fragrant trees. If you would like a pre-cut tree, a reservation is not necessary.

Andy Smith Christmas Trees

Andy Smith Christmas Trees is back for 2022! Their corner lot offers north Seattle folks a wide selection of trees. There aren’t many details about additional offerings for this year’s sale but more details should be announced soon.

Hours: Daily 9 AM-9 PM

Hunter Christmas Trees

This family farm has been growing Christmas trees since 1948! They’re grown on their farm in the Olympic Peninsula, and they offer sheared or unsheared, sizes from tabletop to a grand 20 feet tall. Oh and, their pre-cut trees are cut every day to offer optimum freshness.

Hours: Opens the day after Thanksgiving until December 23rd, Monday-Friday 9:30 AM-8 PM, Saturday & Sunday 9:30 AM-8:30 PM

Urban Feed & Garden


If you’re in South Seattle then you can’t go wrong with a visit to Urban Feed & Garden. They offer both delivery and curbside pick-up for their trees. And you can find a whole bunch of other plants, gardening supplies, and even pet supplies!
