Uh oh, now we’ve gone and done it. Thanksgiving is just a few short days away, and here we were sitting around like bumps on a log forgetting about it. Thankfully, we don’t have to stress too much, as there are still a few options for Thanksgiving meals around Vancouver that aren’t “here’s what we found at the grocery store Sunday afternoon”.

So, appropriately created at the eleventh hour, here are some great last-minute Thanksgiving meals to enjoy around Vancouver.

Fable Diner

We’re starting things off with the easiest option in the city. For a no-frills yet delicious Turkey Dinner, your best bet is at Fable Diner. Priced at $25 per person, it comes with stuffing, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a scone. And of course, some turkey.

When: October 9th (takeout only) and October 10th
Options: Available via takeout or dine-in

Straight & Marrow

Our second ‘classic’ option on this list is a relative newcomer on the scene that has more than earned its place. This weekend, they’re creating a decadent turkey dinner featuring turkey roulade, brussels sprouts with lardons, cranberry sauce, foie gravy, and mashed potatoes. It sounds delicious, but just make sure you leave room for dessert!

When: October 8th to 10th
Options: Dine-in only

Provence Marinaside

For complete the trio of the classic dinner, we’re suggesting Provence Marinaside. This acclaimed French restaurant is keeping things classic for their Thanksgiving meal, offering a turkey dinner with sides like roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes, plus all the fixings.

When: October 11th and October 12th
Options: Dine-in only

Red Wagon Cafe

And if you’re looking for something just a little different this year, we definitely recommend Red Wagon. This East Van staple is offering a confit duck meal in place of classic turkey, with a special standout side being the pomme sarladaise (potatoes cooked in duck fat). Plus, this one is first come first serve, so get there early and you’re golden!

When: October 7th to October 9th
Options: Dine-in only

The Acorn

We couldn’t forget a couple of meat alternative options! First up is The Acorn, which is doing an ‘Everything But The Bird’ meal this weekend. It’s close to sold out, but those who don’t mind dining a little later can still grab a reservation. Alternatively, there are waitlists, but we wouldn’t risk it.

When: October 10th and October 11th
Options: Dine-in only

Pizzeria Grano

While this isn’t exactly a traditional Thanksgiving version, we don’t care because it sounds delicious. The plant-pizzed Pizzeria Grano is doing a full-on meal with salad to start, a Thanksgiving pizza (which sounds amazing), and even pumpkin pie for dessert. And, $45, this is one of the cheaper options on here.

When: Now until October 10th
Options: Takeout and dine-in available

Once again- our bad here for dropping the ball on Thansgiving options around Vancouver. But hey, we’re just happy that a few spots around the city have got us covered this weekend! Enjoy yourselves out there.
