This one goes out to all who grew up loving Hello Kitty. The city’s newest themed dining experience is heading your way in the form of a Hello Kitty Cafe, which is officially opening its doors in Vancouver this week!

Modelled after the beloved Sanrio character, the Hello Kitty Cafe experience offers diners a selection of freshly baked treats from a ‘supercute’ menu, including hot and iced drinks, seasonal goodies, and desserts.

Aside from the grand opening announcement, the cafe’s socials have been radio silent since popping up near the end of last summer. So the anticipation has certainly been building!

If the official Hello Kitty Cafe menu is any indication, guests can soon expect to sip on everything from milk tea and afternoon tea tasters to spring cocktails, with eye-catching desserts like madeleines, birthday cake, and mini donuts on the menu.

Oh, and all the Hello Kitty plushies and merch you could dream of!

Grand opening info

According to the cafe’s Instagram, Hello Kitty lovers can gear up for its official opening on Friday, May 17th.

Despite not having opened yet – the cafe already has four Google reviews under its belt – all from Hello Kitty hopefuls who have been awaiting its opening.

To sweeten the pot, the cafe has announced that the first 50 guests on opening day will receive complimentary goodie bags.
